The Easter Bank Holiday means four days off for many workers, the perfect opportunity for a bit of a spring clean.
If you are clearing stuff out this weekend from the home and garden, then a trip to the tip may be in order. The good news is, council waste centres across the North East are not shutting over the Easter break, despite two bank holidays and an Easter Sunday in between.
Be prepared if you do plan on going to the tip. Some, including Sunderland's new centre in Pallion, South Tyneside's recycling centre, North Tyneside's and Gateshead's require you to book in advance. You may also need a permit, depending on the type of vehicle you bring.
