A tiny home that has been likened to a garden shed has had its price cut by £50,000 as it has still not sold.
The one-bedroom property has been on the market for two months but the owners cannot find a buyer.
Despite being small, all corners of the property, which is located just moments away from Victoria Park in London, have been used up to maximise space.
The home was originally listed at £429,950 and is now £380,000, The Mirror reports.
It is described by Foxtons on Zoopla as: “An amazing one-bedroom flat boasting bright and contemporary accommodation throughout and a quiet location moments from Victoria Park.
"The property is situated moments from a range of shops and amenities that can be found at the Victoria Park Village in Hackney while the green expanses of Victoria Park are only a short distance away.”
When it was first put on to the market, there was outrage from Londoners about how much the house cost.
It was labelled “absurd” and “complete madness” that the “garden shed” was on sale for such a high price. It now seems this opinion is shared by any prospective buyers as the property is yet to be snapped up.
The home was listed for £429,950 in January and boasts an open-plan kitchen and reception, with a bathroom on the ground floor and a bedroom on the raised first floor.
Every inch of space in this pint-sized home has been used thoughtfully, with stylish shelves, seamless worktops and a bed that fits snugly into the property’s design.
It is grey in colour and decorated with garden plants. It could have been taken out of an Ikea store and is maybe a bit smaller than a typical showroom in the Swedish homeware shop.
Despite the obvious lack of space, its location is often sought after.
The areas surrounding Victoria Park are considered highly desirable for homeowners, with a number of schools nearby (although fitting a child into this house may be a push) and many independent shops, pubs and restaurants.
In fact, in 2020 Victoria Park was named as one of the best places to live in London by The Times.
