Sir Rod Stewart has paid tribute to Tina Turner who sadly died at the age of 83.
Last night (May 25) her spokesperson said: "Tina Turner, the 'Queen of Rock 'n' Roll' died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland.
"With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model."

The Maggie May singer paid his respects to the singer who's hits including Proud Mary and The Best with the 78-year-old calling her a "friend and mentor" describing his heavy heart following the news.
Taking to Instagram alongside the photo of the late singer, Rod captioned his post: " I’m devastated, what a women! A friend and mentor - ‘It takes two’ - but there was only one Tina Turner."
Paying tribute to the American-Swiss singer, who was born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush, Tennessee, celebrities among the first to pay tribute were Sir Mick Jagger, Sir Elton John, Diana Ross, Bette Midler and Giorgio Armani.
