Tina Turner has died at the age of 83, it has been confirmed. Tributes have poured in for the music legend following the announcement.
She is said to have died after a long illness at her home near Zurich in Switzerland. A statement said she died "peacefully" at home and adds: "With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model."

The Nutbush City Limits singer was born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26 in 1939 in Nutbush, Tennessee, America and, as part of the band Ike & Turner Revue, she shot to fame in the late '60s.
But it was through he solo career that she had some of her biggest hits including 'What's Love Got To Do With It', 'Private Dancer' and 'The Best'.
She won 12 Grammy Awards and sold more than 180 million albums, selling out stadiums on tour around the world for more than three decades.
