Acclaimed authors Ranbir Sidhu and KR Meera have come out with their new books-- 'Dark Star' and 'Jezebel' respectively. In their books, both of them stand on the same views regarding our patriarchal society and the misogyny faced by women. And so, the two authors were recently seen in a panel discussion titled ‘Of Dark Stars and Jezebels’ at the Times Litfest. Authors Rabir Sidhu and KR Meera were seen in a conversation with journalist Pragya Tiwari wherein they discussed their new books, feminism, and more.
In Ranbir Sidhu’s 'Dark Star' an elderly woman in India journeys alone toward death. Her hypnotic soliloquy is a devastating indictment of the horrors of misogyny and the nightmare of nationalism. In the book, Sidhu not only contemplates the life of a shuttered, oppressed, and wildly imaginative woman, but he also becomes her. It's a story of transformation and heart-rending compassion.
