Timeline of Rwanda asylum plan as Home Secretary James Cleverly signs new treaty

In an attempt to jumpstart the government's stagnant asylum negotiations, Home Secretary James Cleverly has travelled to Rwanda to sign a fresh agreement.

After the Supreme Court ruled against the Rwanda asylum plan, Mr Cleverly flew to Kigali after Rishi Sunak attempted to make the policy to deport migrants to the African nation legally impenetrable.
