Timeline

In the latest update from investigating officers, a timeline of events was suggested after gardai were called to the scene at 3:30 pm on May 10.

They were alerted to the incident by a local who called Dublin Fire Brigade that afternoon for an ambulance.

Emergency workers quickly arrived on the scene and discovered the former youth worker dead in her home.

Gardai have now said they believe Lisa’s death occurred sometime before the discovery of her body in her house.

They are looking for anyone with information on her movements dating from Saturday, May 7 up to yesterday Tuesday, May 10 to contact them.

A post-mortem examination was completed today, May 11, by the State Pathologist and a preliminary report has been provided to the investigating team.

All lines of enquiry remain open and officers continue to have an open mind as to the motive for the attack at this time.

Exact details are not being released for operational reasons, however, Garda Superintendent Darren McCarthy spoke today in Ballymun and said: “I would like to thank the community for the cooperation and assistance received so far and information received from across the community, continues to assist us in our investigation.

“I appeal to anyone with any information on this violent murder to contact us at Ballymun Garda station.

“No matter how insignificant you think it may be, we need to hear from you.

They are also appealing for any person with video footage from the Sandyhill area of Ballymun, and the surrounding roads of Marewood Crescent, Balbutcher Lane for that period between Saturday and Tuesday to contact investigating Gardaí at Ballymun Garda Station at 01 6664400, the Garda Confidential Line phone number 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.

"Lisa was a 52 year old woman, she was well known in her local community, which is shocked over the violent and traumatic death of Lisa," he said.

"An Garda Siochana continues to investigate all the circumstances of this murder and we continue to examine all lines of enquiry and have an open mind as to the motive for this attack at this time.
