Time for Bruno? Pick your Newcastle United XI to take on Southampton at St Mary's

Eddie Howe is a big fan of sticking with a winning side, and his Newcastle United players are repaying his faith in them. However, with three testing away fixtures in the space of seven days on the horizon, the Magpies head coach knows he may have to use his squad wisely.

Newcastle kick off a run of four games away from St James' Park with a trip to St Mary's to take on Southampton on Thursday night, and Howe has the same set of players at his disposal - plus a fit-again Matt Ritchie. With Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier still ruled out through injury, and Allan Saint-Maximin not quite at full fitness, the temptation may be to stick with the side which won against Brentford and Brighton and drew at West Ham.

Bruno Guimaraes is slowly being introduced to Premier League football, but with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to come on Sunday, then Everton away too, there's a chance the Brazillian could be handed a start of the coming week. Saint-Maximin made a return from the bench against Brighton but Howe must decide whether to restore him to the starting XI or give him more time to recover with another sub role at St Mary's.

At the back, Emil Krafth continues to impress in Trippier's absence, despite Javier Manquillo's return from a lay-off, while the form of new signing Dan Burn alongisde a rejuvenated Fabian Schar has meant skipper Jamaal Lascelles has been restricted to a substitute role. But how much of that should change at Southampton?

That's where you come in. We want you to pick your Newcastle starting XI for the game at St Mary's. Would you make changes to keep the squad fresh, or stick with the side which has served United so well in recent weeks?

Does Saint-Maximin come back in or perhaps keep him on the bench and introduce him in the second half when legs start to tire? Pick your side using the interactive tool above and we'll compile the most popular XI from all the votes. Don't forget to share your team with us at @ChronicleNUFC on twitter too.
