Canadian coffee giant Tim Hortons is expanding its Greater Manchester footprint with the opening of its 'largest' drive-thru in the UK at the end of the month. The new Tim Hortons will be based at Trafford Park and will open on Monday, August 29 at 7am.
To celebrate the launch, the first Tim Hortons' fan in the drive-thru and restaurant queue will be rewarded with free drinks for a whole year. Even better, they’ll be giving away a free breakfast meal to its first 100 customers.
Kevin Hydes, Chief Commercial Officer of Tim Hortons® franchise in the U.K commented: “As our presence in Greater Manchester grows, we continue to be surprised and delighted at the demand that exists for Tim Hortons in the area. Our launch at Trafford Park has given us the opportunity to immerse ourselves further within the Manchester community, and we’re looking forward to engaging with all those in the area once we officially open our doors.”

The new opening will be the ninth Tim Hortons in Greater Manchester, following quickly behind their first city centre branch on Market Street, which opened at the end of May. Other GM stores include Salford, Stockport and Bury, and there’s also plans for a site in Oldham.
The brand has become well known for its range of coffees, freshly baked doughnuts and ample breakfast offering. Fans can expect to see many of the brand’s best-selling items too, like their Timbits, Iced Capps and Tims Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
The opening will be followed by a weekly series of promotions for anyone that doesn’t quite make it to the queue quick enough. Coffee lovers can expect Tim Hortons’ dark roast coffee made with 100 percent arabica beans, for just 99p, plus more launch offers in the coming weeks.
James Whittaker, Peel L&P’s Executive Director of Development said: “We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Tim Hortons to bring their popular offering to TraffordCity. TraffordCity is the UK’s foremost retail, leisure and commercial destination and with so much to do and experience, we know that Tim Hortons will be warmly welcomed and further enhance our food and beverage offerings as well as creating even more jobs in the area for the local community.”
