Police are appealing for information following the report of an arson attack at a business in West Belfast on Friday.
A man entered the premises on Carrigart Avenue at approximately 8.40pm on March 18 and shouted at a member of staff to leave.
Inspector Moutray said: “Police received a report that the man had entered the premises and proceeded to spray a liquid from a plastic bottle over the electronic equipment, including the till at the counter and one of the shelves in the shop. He then ignited this and shouted for the member of staff to leave.

“The suspect left on foot in the direction of Creeslough Park. A passing taxi driver ran into the shop and extinguished the fire.
"Thankfully they and the member of staff were not harmed.
“The suspect is described as wearing a dark coloured baseball cap with a dark coloured snood/scarf covering the lower part of his face and wearing dark coloured trousers. He was wearing light colour trainers.
“Our investigation is underway and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area the time of the incident took place or who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage which may assist us to contact 101 quoting reference number 2157 of the 18/03/22.”
