Over lockdown, the majority of those with a smartphone had downloaded TikTok and attempted to give the addictive dances a go.
But it's not only the younger generation experimenting with the app, with Belfast pensioner Jim Jordan's slick dance moves catching the attention of thousands.
The 85-year-old has been a resident in Brooklands Care Home in Dunmurry for the last two years, making his fellow residents and the home staff smile every day.

Speaking to Belfast Live, a member of staff at Brooklands said: "You could probably guess from the TikTok, but JJ is just such a character and we love him so much.
"He was a boxer, as you can see from some of the moves. He started his lightweight boxing career in 1958 and says the highlight of his career was becoming a British Empire Games silver medallist.
"JJ won seven Championships over his time and was very well renowned throughout Ireland. He also really enjoys dancing.
"We are delighted because the video just lets people see exactly what does go on in Brooklands Care Home Dunmurry, it is fun and good craic. It's not just people sitting around, there is always something happening. every day.
"After the TikTok went up, JJ says he is just so pleased that he is now famous and he wants to know how much he is getting paid!
"Brooklands is the residents' home at the end of the day and we want to make that a special place, full of love and fun."
