Tiger Woods What's In The Bag?
After an injury-stricken last few years, culminating in a ruptured Achilles tendon early in 2025, it looks as if Tiger's time on the golf course may be somewhat limited for the foreseeable future.
However, as always the appetite to know as much about the great man as possible is still present, so we have compiled as up-to-date a 'What's In The Bag' as possible.
Tiger is very much a TaylorMade staffer nowadays, after previous stints with Titleist and Nike, and his bag very much reflects that with 13 of his 14 clubs being TaylorMade products. So without further ado, let’s get into the specific bag setup of the Eldrick ‘Tiger’ Woods...
Driver
What Driver Does Tiger Woods Use?

The last time we saw Tiger on course was at the 2024 PNC Championship and he was still using his TaylorMade Qi10 LS driver which remains one of the best drivers in golf.
Woods uses a 10.5˚ head in the draw setting - as predominantly a fader of the ball from the tee in recent years, this is likely a ploy to prevent too much curvature in the air.
Tiger has this fitted with a Graphite Design Tour AD VF 6 X, which is very much a low launch, low spin profile with a very stable tip section.
Fairway Woods
What Fairway Woods Does Tiger Woods Use?

Tiger is not one to change clubs on a whim just because TaylorMade have brought out a new model and his choice of fairway woods demonstrates that perfectly. He carries a 2020 SIM Ti 3 wood with a 15 degree head (set to 14.25°) and an even older 2018 M3 5 wood which has a 19 degree head which Tiger has set to 18.25°.
Both are fitted with Mitsubishi Diamana D+ Limited 80 TX shafts. Woods does mix things up a little in this department depending on course fit, and the 5 wood occasionally comes out of the bag to be replaced by a 2-iron when he needs to hit those famous Tiger stingers.
Tiger has been experimenting with the Qi10 Fairway wood though so it won't be surprising if we see that in his bag at some point suring this year.
Irons
What Irons Does Tiger Woods Use?

Widely regarded as the best iron player of all time, Woods has always preferred the feel and workability of forged blades and that remains the same to this day. His current set, the TaylorMade P7TW, have been in the bag since 2019 and were designed to his exacting standards and requirements.
Each P7TW iron "has been meticulously shaped to meet Tiger's discerning eye - longer blade length, thinner topline, progressive face height, and more," TaylorMade says. Tiger's irons aren't for everybody though, these are very much irons for low handicap golfers.
They feature strategically placed tungsten billets directly behind the impact area to provide the depth of strike that he craves.
All of his irons are fitted with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Tiger Woods Use?

Tiger uses two TaylorMade MG4 models in the TW (named after him!) grind, with lofts of 56 and 60 degrees, and True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 shafts. We loved the MG4 wedges in testing and they sit very much amongst the best wedges in the game.
The 56° wedge is a dual sole with heavy heel relief, while the 60° has an extremely high bounce on the leading edge with a shaved heel. Many may think that the gap between the 56˚ wedge and his set pitching wedge is too large, but Woods has said he feels very comfortable de-lofting the 56˚ to produce more yardage when required. He has been in this wedge loft setup his entire professional career.
Putter
Scotty Cameron GSS Newport 2

Tiger Woods' flat stick is arguably the world's most famous putter, having been used in 14 of his 15 Major victories. The iconic Scotty Cameron GSS Newport 2 is his old faithful, and he's had lots of back-ups through the years, including a 2001 version that sold for $44,000 at auction.
Woods has it fitted with a blacked-out Ping PP58 grip.
Ball
What Golf Ball Does Tiger Woods Use?

Historically, Tiger has tended to play a softer golf ball that offers him more spin to shape the ball and give him some control around the greens. Since signing a golf ball deal with Bridgestone in late 2016 after Nike stopped making equipment, he's tended to use the softer three-piece balls in the range.
Most recently, that has been in the shape of the Bridgestone Tour B XS which he had been using since it was launched by the brand in 2020, although he switched into the firmer Bridgestone Tour B X model in 2022. According to Golf.com, Woods found Bridgestone B X carried 10 yards extra.
Prior to the Genesis Invitational Open in February 2024 it was revealed that Tiger has now changed to the new Bridgestone 2024 Tour B X.
Apparel/Shoes
What Shoes Does Tiger Woods Wear?

At the beginning of 2024 Tiger parted company with Nike after a 27 year partnership. Prior to the Genesis Invitational in February it was announced that Woods was launching his own apparel brand called Sun Day Red. So in 2024 and beyond he will be wearing clothes and shoes from the Sun Day Red line which runs in association with TaylorMade.
Grips
What Grips Does Tiger Woods Use?

Tiger Woods uses the Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord 58R model in all of his clubs aside from the putter, which features the Ping P58. The Tour Velvet Cord is the most popular cord grip on Tour, with this type of grip better for players with sweaty hands or to help in wet weather. Cord grips also offer a firmer feel and more feedback through the hands vs a full rubber one.
Tiger Woods' Headcover
What Headcover Does Tiger Woods Use?

Tiger Woods has used the same driver headcover for his entire career, and there's a cool story behind it. The Tiger headcover is made by the company Daphne's Headcovers. After Woods' 1997 Masters win, Daphne's reportedly had 30,000 orders for the Tiger cover.
According to a brilliant Golf.com feature with Daphne's headcovers, Woods was gifted a new headcover each year by his mother Kultida, with the words Rak jak Mea (Love from Mom in Thai) hand-sewn into, and each year 'Tida' would note down Tiger's achievements and store the piece of paper in the headcover he used that year.
