Tiger Woods to miss all four majors for the second successive year

Tiger Woods is set to miss all four major golf tournaments for the second consecutive year, after the golfing icon chose not to enter this summer's Open Championship.

The deadline for eligible players to inform the R&A of their attendance at Royal Birkdale in July passed last week, and Woods' name was not among the entries, the Press Association understands.
