Tickets to Queens of the Stone Age Cardiff Castle show go on sale today

Queens of the Stone Age surprised UK fans last week with their 2023 summer lineup, including a huge headliner at nearby Cardiff Castle. Fans can now bag a place in the crowd as tickets go on sale at 9am today (April 21).

It's the first time the band have played in the UK since 2018 so the demand to see the rock group live is proving to be overwhelming. As thousands of fans have shown interest in getting tickets, a number of presale ticket events have already taken place.

Earlier this week fans snapped up early access tickets during the band artist presale event, giving eager fans guaranteed places. The general sale kicks off at 9am today (April 21) in what will be the last time fans can try and buy tickets.

The queue for the Cardiff date opens at 9am on both Ticketmaster, and See Tickets alongside the sales for the other UK shows in Halifax and Margate. The three different shows have had a host of different presale options including Barclaycard, LiveNation presale and the Ticketmaster presale which is normally reserved for 'verified fans' who register.

Due to the sheer amount of presale options it's not certain how many tickets will be available during the main general sale event. Fans looking to get tickets today are urged to join online sites at least 15 minutes before, in order to join the earlier 'waiting room' queue.

This give buyers access to an earlier queue and puts you straight into the main queue without having to click in. Updating Ticketaster account and billing details are also a 'must' as new restrictions means fans that don't will have to re login once they reach the front of the queue, which may result in lost tickets.

Both of the above strategies were used by thousands of fans during the recent sale of Tom Jones' gig at Cardiff Castle, which saw more than 11,000 people queue up and an extra date added.

Taking to Twitter many fans have already shared their excitement at seeing Queens of the Stone Age this coming June, 23 in Cardiff, with many stating they never thought they'd get the chance to see the band perform live.

As well as the three UK dates, the band are also set to perform across Europe, with headliners in Germany and The Netherlands.
