Tickets go on sale for new Scotland to London train service

  • Budget rail company Lumo has launched tickets for a new low-cost train service connecting Scotland and London on the West Coast Main Line.
  • Tickets are now available for travel from 10 July onwards, with the service anticipated to begin operations even earlier.
  • Fares include journeys such as London to Stirling from £29.90, London to Preston for £23.90, and Preston to Stirling for £14.90.
  • The new route will run between London Euston and Stirling, calling at various stations including Milton Keynes, Crewe, Preston, and Carlisle.
  • Lumo will operate four daily return services between Stirling and London, using refurbished Class 222 trains with a single-class layout to keep costs down.
