The rain from the weekend is set to stick around in Leeds this week.
While Leeds residents were delighted to bask in sunshine and warm temperatures which have prevailed this month, plans for BBQ's and outdoor events were quickly ditched when heavy rain hit recently. While temperatures remain warm, people should still carry an umbrella with them; the Met Office predict more showers this week.
Today (Tuesday, July 11) frequent showers are expect from late morning in areas across the city. The rain could be heavy and thundery at times.

The worst of the showers is expected during the afternoon and early evening. Some brighter spells are expected and there will be some sunny intervals, and highs of 22C.
The mixture of sunshine and showers will continue for the rest of the week, with showers perhaps turning heavy and thundery at times. Temperatures will start out around 15C before warming up to 20C.
Thunder is expected at 4pm and there will be eight hours of rain from 12pm until 7pm. Otherwise there will be a mixture of cloud and sunny intervals. Temperatures in the evening will be between 15C and 18C.
