The Oklahoma City Thunder big man, who’s enjoying a stellar rookie season on the court, appears to have enjoyed an amusing moment off the court during a recent interview.
Holmgren, 21, sat down with two female interviewers and was asked to name his celebrity crush—and the Thunder center responded with a pick-up line that promptly went viral on social media.
Holmgren responded with a wry smile, asking one of the interviewers, “You consider yourself a celebrity?” The woman who asked the question laughed, and her fellow interviewer couldn’t hide her amused expression.

Holmgren’s teammates, Jaylin and Jalen Williams, seemingly approve of his line, as they each reposted the video, which features the 1975 Hall and Oates song Sara Smile.
As of Sunday afternoon, the Tiktok post had more than 130,000 likes, and a post featuring the clip on X (formerly Twitter) boasted more than 685,000 views.
Holmgren, in his first full NBA season after missing all of the 2022-23 campaign due to a foot injury, is averaging 16.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in 67 contests.
