In an interview with Karan Thapar, Pooja was asked about her bond with her director father. Spilling some beans on the same, she said that her bond with her dad is way more special than that of Alia's with him. The actress stated that she has had the privilege of knowing him in a manner that Alia, Shaheen, and Rahul Bhatt never did. Because she knew him through a difficult phase—she saw him grapple with alcohol, she saw him give it up. And for her, that’s his greatest achievement. According to her, she has an edge over her siblings, not because she has worked with him, but she has seen him through the depths of despair, and she has seen him rise.
