Three vehicles taken off the road in busy night for South Wales Police

Police in south Wales have taken at least three vehicles off the road in what has been a busy night for the force. The first seizure took place in the Sketty area of Swansea after officers spotted a vehicle being used in an anti-social manner.

Officers from South Wales Police's road policing unit stopped the driver who it turned out had been warned three weeks prior for the same offence. A statement about the incident issued online during the early hours read: "Vehicle seized in the Sketty area of Swansea for a s59 offence (vehicle used in an anti social manner).

"The driver had only been warned 3 weeks ago for the same issues, by the same officer. You can take a horse to water...seized."

Later on, officers stopped another vehicle at an undisclosed location after spotting it driving at excessive speeds. The driver later failed a roadside drugs test and was taken into custody. The vehicle was also seized.

Lastly, police took a car off the road in Bridgend after it was found to be uninsured.

The force warned that the driver now faces potentially receiving six points on their licence as well as being fined for the offence. In a statement about the incident, it said: "Please check your documents on a regular basis so that you don't end up in a similar position."
