Three things we learned as Hibs draw deadline day Dingwall ding-dong with Kevin Nisbet injury blow

Hibs managed a battling 1-1 draw with Ross County as Lee Johnson's men remained unbeaten in four games.

It was a deadline day battle in the Highlands as Hibs started off brightly with Elie Youan netting after half an hour after weathering a storm from the home side. But the second half brought a tale of inconsistency with a freak goal flying in to the Hibs net directly from a corner kick as Yan Dhanda took the plaudits.

There were more than a few takeaways from an eventful Tuesday night on and off the park for the Hibees.

Nisbet worry

Luckless Kevin Nisbet has had one hell of a month.

The Scotland striker looked set to leave Easter Road with just the formalities of a switch to Millwall to be done before a dramatic U-turn kept him in the capital. The 25-year-old has been on red-hot form for Lee Johnson's men after coming back from a long injury.

But within just 25 minutes of Tuesday's encounter with Ross County the forward pulled up and was replaced with a suspected muscle injury.

Everyone in Leith will be hoping it is not something serious for their star man.

You-an-I are gonna live forever

Elie Youan has been a bright spark for Hibs this season.

The Frenchman made have found his start to life in Leith a little tough but has been key in big games against the likes of Hearts and Rangers this campaign.

And Youan was on target again this time in Dingwall. Lee Johnson seems to be a fan of the 23-year-old.

Hoppe along

Lee Johnson wasn't joking when he said Hibs' fixture wouldn't get in the way of transfer business.

Half time didn't just bring a team talk for the Hibees but a new signing was announced in Middlesbrough forward Matthew Hoppe.

The American forward could not have been a more aptly timed recruit with Nisbet's injury as the loan star will bolster the attack.

Some Tuesday night for the Hibees.
