A man has been arrested after police uncovered links between three separate kidnappings across Sydney.
Police launched Strike Force Pepis to probe the kidnapping of a man from southwest Sydney on March 21 last year.
Police say the 30-year-old was confronted by a group of men while at his Punchbowl home about 9.45pm then dragged onto the street and forced into a van.
The man returned home two days later and did not require hospital treatment.
The initial investigation was handled by Campsie police.
Later investigations by Strike Force Pepis allegedly found links between the March 21 kidnapping and other kidnappings in 2020 and last year.
Police believe the alleged kidnapping of a man at Dundas Valley in northwest Sydney in 2020 and an abduction in San Souci in southern Sydney last year may be linked to the incident in Punchbowl.
Strike force detectives and Raptor Squad officers carried out a raid at Regents Park at dawn on Wednesday and arrested a 22-year-old man.
NSW Police will provide further updates about the arrest later on Wednesday.
