In Wisconsin, three ordinary shipping containers have been transformed into an unusual holiday home with two bedrooms, a rooftop deck, a private sauna and an outdoor hot tub. Called Maison Flambeau, the holiday home is located in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and offers approximately 800 square feet (74 square metres) of interior space. Designed by Backcountry Containers, the property boasts of modern amenities with outdoor relaxation areas, including riverfront views and woodland trails. The company's website lists the product at $49,500, but this price should not be confused with the cost of constructing Maison Flambeau.
