Three police officers and a man taken to hospital following Shankill Road collision

Three police officers and a man have been taken to hospital following a collision on the Shankill Road on Saturday night.

The emergency services were called to the incident at around 9.30pm on Saturday, June 24, after a police vehicle was involved in a collision with a car on the West Belfast road.

It is understood that the police vehicle was responding to an emergency at the time of the incident.

The road was closed for a number of hours following the collision and it has now reopened.

Three officers and a man were injured during the crash and have since been taken to hospital, although police have said that their injuries are not believed to be serious.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The Shankill Parade, North Belfast re-opened following a road traffic collision involving a police vehicle on Saturday 24th June. Three police officers and another man were taken to hospital for their injuries, which are not believed to be serious."
