Three people have been seriously injured following a crash on an Ayrshire road.
Police and emergency services raced to the scene of the two-van smash on the A737 between Beith and Dalry on Friday at around 7.40pm.
The two Ford Transit vans, one silver and one white, collided about a mile south of Manrahead Roundabout and the road was reopened almost six hours later at around 1.30am.
Three people - two men and a woman - were taken to hospital with serious injuries as a result of the crash.
Sergeant Stewart Taylor said: “Enquiries are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who seen the silver van on the road before the crash took place to contact us.
“I would also be keen to obtain any dashcam from drivers on this area of road around the time of the crash on Friday evening.
“Anyone with information that may assist is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 3352 of January 27.”
