Three men named as drug suspects after police raids

Three men were named after being charged as drug suspects following several raids.

Merseyside Police worked with Police Scotland's Divisional Organised Crime Team to raid several homes in Speke, Garston and Halewood on Tuesday, May 17. The investigation was formed to disrupt county lines drug dealings that were going from Liverpool to Inverness.

Three men were arrested in the raids, which saw officers from the Matrix Drone Unit assist and the official launch of the force’s first operational drone division. Jack Horgan, 23, Carl Masher, 24, and Liam Riley, 26, were charged in connection with drug offences.

The men are in custody and will be put before the Sheriffs court in Inverness.

Detective Inspector William Nimmo, of Police Scotland’s Inverness Divisional Organised Crime Team, said: “I would like to thank our colleagues at Merseyside Police for assisting with this operation. Our partnership approach shows our commitment to taking appropriate action against people profiting from the sale of illegal and harmful substances.”
