Three men have been arrested after a man was left critically injured.
Police were called to reports a man had been assaulted on Molyneux Road, Kensington, in the afternoon of Monday, June 26. At the scene they found a man, in his 70s, had suffered head injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he now remains in a critical condition. Three people have since been arrested in connection with the incident.

Most recently, a 45-year-old man from Liverpool, has been arrested on suspicion of s18 grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released on conditional bail.
Earlier, two men, A 39 year-old and a 48 year-old were also arrested on suspicion of s18 wounding with intent. They are currently in custody where they will be questioned by officers.
Detectives are carrying out a number of lines of enquiry as they seek to establish where and when the victim's injuries occurred. There are currently cordons in place to allow for investigative work to be carried out. House-to-house, CCTV and witness enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
