Three Kerala students drown off Udupi in selfie accident

UDUPI: Three engineering students from Kerala drowned at St Mary's Island in Udupi on Thursday.

One of the three who was trying to take a selfie atop a rock slipped and fell into the sea. His two friends who jumped to rescue him were saved by the lifeguards but died on the way to hospital . The deceased are Alen Reji, 22, Amal C Anil, 22, and Antony Shinoi, 21. All the three bodies have been recovered.
