Three people were taken to hospital after a crash on Gundaroo Road, north of Canberra, on Wednesday afternoon.
Two cars were involved in the crash, which happened about 12.50pm.
One driver, aged in his 60s, was trapped in his vehicle for a short time. After he was freed, he was treated for leg and head injuries and taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The male and female in the second car suffered lacerations and were also taken to hospital.
Officers from the NSW Police Hume district attended.
As of 3.20pmn, Gundaroo Road remained closed near the intersection with Mulligans Flat Rd, with diversions in place, as the crashed site was studied and the vehicles then removed.
