JAIPUR: Three students from the city have made it to the all India top 50 list in the Chartered Accountant (CA) exam results that was announced on Thursday.
Mrinal Jain secured the 20th rank, Rakshit Biyani (29) and Yatharth Kumar Baphna bagged the 32nd position. In his first attempt, Jain scored 577 marks out of 800. Son of a businessman and a homemaker, Jain resides at Tonk Phatak in Jaipur.
“Consistency and smart work help students in scoring high. I appeared in a lot of sample test series. Timely preparation and discipline helped me. I am currently working in the corporate sector and want to pursue in investment banking,” said Jain.
Biyani and Baphna expressed happiness about their achievements. Biyani scored 562 and Baphna (559). Biyani said he wanted to work for a multinational company and then would decide his plans. “I worked hard since the beginning and was able to crack my exam in the first attempt,” said Biyani.
More than 1,200 students appeared for the CA examination under the new syllabus from Jaipur and around 200 students cleared the test.
The pass percentage was 17.92%. At the national level, the pass percentage was 15.3% as 4,437 students out of 28,988 cleared the examination.
In the old syllabus, 12 students out of 97 passed the exam from Jaipur.
