Riyad Mahrez is being tracked by a number of European giants with just 12 months left on his Manchester City contract.
The Premier League champions were said to be confident of pinning him down to a new deal earlier this month. But that seemingly hasn’t put off potential new suitors with the deal still unsigned.
And if Mahrez is unsure about staying on at the Etihad, then City may look to offload him this summer in return for cash rather than let him leave for free next year, according to reports. The Algerian is the club’s top scorer this season with 23 goals, although has started just 13 league games.

Now Footmercato (via Sport Witness ) reports that Chelsea along with Juventus and Barcelona are keeping tabs on the 31-year-old. City look poised to land superstar Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland this summer in a mega money deal.
So the club may be eager to free up funds to afford the transfer fee and Haaland's wages. Reports suggest the Norwegian could become the highest earner in Premier League history at City.
Meanwhile, the Sun reports that Sheffield United are keen on City goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu. The 20-year-old is currently out on loan at Portsmouth and has kept 16 clean sheets in League One this season.
The youngster has been a regular in City’s Under-23s but has yet to make his senior debut for the club. He is contracted until 2024 but Sheffield United are keen on Bazunu, regardless of whether they secure a Premier League return this season.
