The City of Piedmont is mourning the loss of three recent graduates of Piedmont High School who tragically lost their lives in a fatal crash the day before Thanksgiving. Soren Dixon, Jack Nelson, and Krysta Tsukahara were identified as the victims of the single-vehicle collision that resulted in a fiery crash, according to the Piedmont Police Department.
The incident was reported to the police through an alert from an iPhone and a 911 call. Responding officers found a Tesla Cybertruck engulfed in flames at the scene. Three of the four occupants in the vehicle lost their lives in the accident, while the fourth, identified as 20-year-old Jordan Miller, sustained serious injuries and is currently in stable condition at a local hospital.
Piedmont Mayor Jen Cavenaugh expressed the community's grief and solidarity during this difficult time, emphasizing the importance of respecting the families' privacy as they mourn their loved ones. The outpouring of support from the community was evident during events like the Turkey Trot and a vigil held in honor of the victims.
