Electronic Arts announced that the covers for EA Sports College Football 25 is set to feature three current college football stars. They're none other than Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter, Michigan running back Donovan Edwards, and Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers.
Those who follow the sport shouldn't be surprised why these three made the cut. After all, they've pretty much built their respective resumes during the last season. Take Edwards for example. He excelled during the national championship run of the Wolverines last season. It was during that time when he became the first player in the history of College Football Playoff to have two rushing touchdowns of 40-plus yards in the title game.
Then there's Hunter, considered to be one of the most exciting two-way players in college football history and stands as the only FBS player to record 100 yards receiving and an interception in the same game in at least the last 20 seasons. Ewers meanwhile is one of the top quarterbacks in the nation and has led the Longhorns to a 12-2 record along with a Big 12 Championship last year.
Talking about being on the cover, Edwards shared in a statement that it was "truly surreal" to see himself on the cover of the game. He added that it was a "huge honor" to be part of past Michigan greats that have been cover athletes. Ewers meanwhile said that it was an honor being able to represent "the burnt orange on the real and virtual gridirons." Finally, there's Hunter who revealed that he's pumped to be on the cover of the game.
For EA Sports SVP and Group GM Daryl Holt, the three are extraordinary talents who both entertained and impressed the millions of college football fans. He added that having the three on the cover for the game is truly a "perfect fit" as they bring in a new era for EA Sports as well as college football.

EA Sports College Football 25 is launching on July 19. The game has players experience the explosive gameplay variety across the 134 FBS schools and be able to immerse themselves in the iconic atmospheres of college football. It's going to be available for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
