Three Chelsea players West Ham would take in swap for Declan Rice £100m transfer deal

West Ham United will reportedly command £120 million to sell captain Declan Rice this summer.

That is according to Sky Sports, who also claim they could lower the asking price to £100 million if a player is offered in return. The Hammers will not stand in the way of Rice's Champions League dream and while Chelsea will not be in that competition next season, are among the sides said to be keen.

That said, Arsenal are currently the side leading the race, with a number of other 'big six' clubs also keeping an eye on the England international's situation. Though Chelsea will be keen to strengthen their squad even further this summer, it is also set to be an extremely busy window of outgoings, too.

The squad is currently in desperate need of trimming down after a £600 million transfer spree over the last 12 months, though that could work to Chelsea's advantage in the race for Rice. Many of the players set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer will command a decent fee and therefore could tempt West Ham into selling to Chelsea.

Despite having played a more prominent role under Frank Lampard, Conor Gallagher could be a decent make way option as not only has he already proven at Crystal Palace he has plenty to offer, but he would also help West Ham reshape their midfield in Rice's absence. For that reason also, Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be another who the Hammers would be happy to take in a potential deal.

David Moyes' side are also in desperate need of freshening up their attacking options in the summer and Christian Pulisic would represent a significant coup. While Pulisic may be keen to play Champions League football, the chance to play regularly and be the main man at a big club like West Ham could be tempting.
