Three men have been charged following an armed robbery in Knightsbridge where six assailants fled with Rolexes worth tens of thousands of pounds.

Met Police carried out a series of early morning raids on Thursday (February 5) and arrested three men from Islington and Tower Hamlets in connection with the incident.

Elliot Campbell, 31, Dean Dinan, 29, and Dyllan Gowie, 27, have all been charged with robbery and possession of drugs.

Dinan also faces additional charges of possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition and possession of criminal property. Campbell also faces charges of possession of criminal property.

The men will appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court today (February 6).

The charges come just over two weeks after masked robbers, wielding crowbars and machetes, broke into the Rolex store in Knightsbridge.

Footage captured of the incident showed figures dressed in black swinging a machete as they quickly grabbed items worth thousands.

Witnesses near the scene recalled hearing a loud crash, later learned to be a scooter bursting into the front of the shop, along with shouting.

Police said six suspects wearing motorbike helmets were involved.

“The offenders made off on four mopeds after taking a number of high-value watches, leaving a stolen moped behind in the store,” Scotland Yard said at the time.

“No injuries were reported.”

The team tasked with identifying those involved is known as the Met’s Flying Squad, which is a specially coordinated team of elite detectives trained to track down people involved with violent crimes such as the Knightsbridge attack.

“The Flying Squad specialises in tracking down organised robbers who use violence and intimidation, and our officers are working to identify and arrest those responsible,” said Detective Chief Inspector Scott Mather at the time of the incident.

Founded in 1918, the Met’s Flying Squad has a history of cracking serious investigations over the decades, including various armed robberies across the capital.

The Hatton Garden heist of 2015 was one of them, when six elderly men nicknamed the ‘diamond wheezers’ stole £14m worth of jewellery and gems over the bank holiday weekend.

In 2024, officers from the elite squad also tracked down a man who had stolen a Banksy print worth £270,000.
