House hunters looking for a reasonably priced three-bedroom property could get more than they bargained for in the bedroom department.
A townhouse in Abergwynfi in Wales is on the market for just £550 month – although it comes with an unusual added feature.
Located around 10 miles from the coast, the property boasts a “sunny lounge” as well as a large garden which, in the words of the estate agent, looks “out onto wooded hills”.
The Sun reports that Peter Alan estate agents have listed the property “in the sought after location of Abergrynfi” but there is no mention of a bizarre addition to one of the bedrooms.
The property's larger bedroom has a toilet facing the end of the bed.
However, the peculiarly placed loo is not in close proximity to a sink, which would leave any residents with a basic standard of hygiene needing to go downstairs after making use of the facility.
Perhaps just as strangely, both of the property's other bathrooms are on the basement level, meaning anyone caught short on the top floor would have to burst into someone's bedroom in order to access a toilet.
One of the basement bathrooms offers a large shower, while the property also boasts a large lounge which covers an entire floor and comes with off-street parking, making the £550 a month a potential snip.
Abergwynfi is a former coal mining village but is now popular with tourists thanks to it's proximity to scenic walking and mountain biking trails in the Afan Valley and the scenic seaside town of Porthcawl.
The local village includes playgrounds, pubs, cafes, a church and a primary school, while there are public transport routes to Bridgend, Port Talbot, and Cardiff.
