Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal worth in the region of £25million to sign midfielder Yves Bissouma from Brighton & Hove Albion, according to reports.
The 25-year-old has been the subject of interest from many top Premier League clubs, including Spurs’ North London rivals Arsenal. However, it’s Antonio Conte’s men who look to have solidified their interest in the midfielder, who was entering the final 12 months of his contract with Brighton.
The deal represents a blow for Arsenal who were keen to strengthen their midfield ahead of next season and had identified Bissouma as a potential option. Thomas Partey's injury at the back end of the last campaign highlighted the need to bring in reinforcements, so the club will surely now be working on deals for suitable alternatives.
