Video footage has captured the moment a brawl broke out at an Asda self service check out as horrified shoppers watched on.
The fight erupted at around 7pm at the supermarket in Bootle, Merseyside on Tuesday evening (March 28). A spokesperson for Asda confirmed the matter was reported to Merseyside Police, reports the ECHO.
A video shared on social media has since viewed thousands of times shows. It shows several people crashing into security gates at the till area while staff are seen attempting to break up the fight. Several people can be heard screaming and shouting shortly after the fight is broken up.
Officers were called to Asda on Strand Road at around 7.15pm. Merseyside Police has since confirmed that three people have been arrested.
A 24-year-old woman, from Bootle, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of cannabis. As of 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 29, she remained in custody.
Two men, aged 37, from Litherland and aged 26 from Bootle, were also arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of cannabis. Police confirmed the men have been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
