The Post Office has said that 6,000 energy support vouchers dated for January 17 that were sent to Power NI customers and 150 Airtricity Customers were not able to be redeemed due to a technical fault.
It has said that following an investigation, these vouchers will be resent to households and has apologised to anyone who was not able to use theirs.
A Post Office spokesperson said: "6,000 energy support vouchers dated 17 January and sent to Power NI customers are not valid due to a technical issue. A further 150 energy support vouchers dated 17 January and sent to Airtricity Energy customers are also not valid for the same reason. The issue was highlighted and following an investigation, new vouchers will be re-sent.
“We understand how important this support is for people and want to apologise to anyone who could not redeem their voucher.”
