Protesters have attended nationwide rallies as part of a "global day for Gaza", marking three years since Israel began its assault on the Palestinian enclave.
Thousands of people took to the streets in 27 cities and towns across Australia on Sunday, including in Sydney's Hyde Park, where organisers estimated 5000 people gathered before marching through the city centre.
