Thousands of public sector jobs could go in Victoria

Thousands of public sector jobs are expected to be axed in Victoria as the state government grapples with growing debt.

The Community and Public Sector Union on Wednesday said government departments have been told to cut 10 per cent of staff, the equivalent of 6000 jobs.
