Thousands of people have descended on Anfield Stadium for The Rolling Stones' hotly anticipated concert.
For the first time since 1971, the iconic rock band have come to Liverpool to perform. The city is one of many exciting stops on the Stones' SIXTY tour, celebrating their 60 years in the music industry.
Venturing to Munich, Milan, Amsterdam, London and more, original members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood have been joined by drummer Steve Jordan, following the death of Charlie Watts in August of 2021. Tonight, the legendary band have taken over Anfield Stadium, a venue with a capacity of more than 50,000, to delight and unite fans as fans with renditions of top hits like (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction, Sympathy for the Devil, Gimme Shelter, Jumpin' Jack Flash and more.

The Rolling Stones were formed in London back in 1962, and got their start playing covers before penning their own songs, with Jagger and Richards becoming a writing force to be reckoned with. They went on to become one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
Their legacy is enduring, with thousands of tickets sold for the band's SIXTY tour. The doors at Anfield Stadium opened at 4pm, allowing hoards of ticket holders to enter the venue hours before the musicians are set to take to the stage.
There were people of all ages descending on the stadium, with the excitement and anticipation palpable. Support act Echo & The Bunnymen will perform at 7.30pm. The Rolling Stones will perform at 8.45pm. Anfield Stadium is based at Anfield Road, Anfield, Liverpool, L4 0TH.
