Thousands of free underwear sets to be given away in Leeds as part of life-saving 'Boob Box' event

Free underwear will be given away to residents in Leeds as part of a life-saving 'Boob Box' event.

Lounge Underwear, a popular brand boasting 3.2million Instagram followers, will visit the University of Leeds Union next week, hosting a campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The company is raising money for breast cancer awareness.

One in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. A Lounge Underwear spokeswoman said: "Most breast lumps are not cancerous, but it's always best to have them checked by a doctor". To raise awareness in a fun way, Lounge will be giving out 35,000 underwear sets to university students.

On Monday October 17 and 18 they will be coming to Leeds from 9am until 5pm at the Business School in Grosvenor Square. Lounge will be handing out two of their non-wired best-selling Pink sets in sizes XS-XXL across both bras and bottoms to university students.

Those wanting to get involved can do so by filling in their details and opt-in to email marketing. Once complete, those registered will be emailed a code and take to the ‘The Boob Box’ to collect your free set of underwear alongside a bag filled with extra boob-checking essentials.

Alternatively, people can turn up on the day at the boob box to sign up and receive your free set. Since the campaign started in 2019 Lounge Underwear has raised over a quarter of a million pounds in support of #FeelYourBreast, donating to Breast Cancer and women’s charities.
