Thousands of homes and businesses in Dublin city centre are without water due to a burst water main.
Irish Water said they are working in conjunction with Dublin City Council to amend the water outage, with crews currently onsite in attempt to restore water to homes, however early indication are that repairs may not be completed until 6pm this Friday.
Homeowners have been warned to that if they are experiencing an outage, they should not turn on water consuming appliances such as washing machine or dishwashers, or drink from the hot water or bathroom taps, Dublin Live reported.

The following areas have been affected: Dolphin's Barn, Harolds Cross, Kilmainham, Fleet Street, Brunswich Street, The Liberties, Gardener Street, Dorset Street, Drumcondra, Whitehall, Artane, Coolock, Beaumont, Fairview, Raheny, Clontarf, Killester, Home Farm and surrounding areas.
An update on Uisce Eireann's website now says that works in some places could take place at 10am on 26 May.
Irish Water still recommends that people allow 2-3 hours after the estimated restoration time for the supply to fully return. Some places will still likely have a disrupted water supply until 6pm tomorrow.

In a statement this evening, Irish Water said that water disruptions caused by the burst water main northside should be fully restored by 6pm on Friday.
A spokesman said: "Repairs are complex due to the location of the dig and presence of other underground services, full restoration is expected by 6pm tomorrow due to the large area affected."
