'Thought they were back?' - Manchester United fans mock Liverpool FC after defeat vs Bournemouth

Manchester United fans have gotten their own back on social media today following Liverpool's 1-0 defeat to AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League's early kickoff on Saturday.

Reaction from both camps after the result was one of shock however, Liverpool supporters and pundits took great delight in teasing the Reds' fans. Chief among the tormentors was Jamie Carragher.

However, the Scouser has been notably absent on social media after today's result for his beloved team on the south coast.

Some supporters suggested that Gary Neville should drink a can of Cherry Coke during tomorrow's Super Sunday while others made their own references to 7Up and Salah's penalty. Here are some of the highlights from the social media site.
