They have cemented themselves as one of Gogglebox's most-loved pairings after joining the show in 2015 and fans were fascinated to see throwback snaps of Giles Wood and Mary Killen.
The married couple quickly became popular on the hit Channel Four show because of their dry sense of humour.
Giles and Mary, who endeared themselves to Gogglebox fans by referring to each other as 'nutty', have been married more than 30 years.
Every Friday night viewers are invited into their Wiltshire cottage as they comment on the week's telly, and they deliver laughs with observations such as Mary wondering if Salford comic Jason Manford is a member of the folk band Mumford and Sons.
The pair have addressed the endearing reference behind the pet name and explained it happened because they're both 'neurotic.'
Giles has now delighed fans by sharing throwback photos of the couple from 1986, and viewers think they looked unrecognisable.
Some fans thought Giles looked like the late singing icon David Bowie as he struck a pose with his wife in black and white snaps shared on his Instagram.
And others reckoned he looked like a cross between the Hollywood stars Hugh Grant and Tom Cruise.
Another followed said Mary, who gazed up adoringly at her hubby in one of the snaps, had a look of Killing Eve's Jodie Comer.
