Sam Johnstone has been hailed as "quite outstanding" by Martin O'Neill after joining Celtic on loan.
The former England goalkeeper, who joined on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, has impressed during training and is already challenging Viljami Sinisalo for the starting position.
Despite Sinisalo being the first-choice keeper at the start of the season, O'Neill believes Johnstone is a genuine contender for the number one spot. O'Neill said: "He's just arrived. I just want him to settle in. He's really up for the challenge.

"In the little training sessions here, he's been quite outstanding. I think he can challenge Vil."
The manager suggested that the competition for the goalkeeper's spot is just as important as it is for outfield players.
He added: "Why should goalkeepers not have that sort of competition as much as anyone else? Outfield players have it every time."
