Not even Thomas Tuchel was his usual self against Brighton. Perhaps the German is also feeling the effects of Chelsea's relentless schedule. It would certainly explain why he watched most of the match from his seat in the dugout.
Tuchel tends to be a ball of energy on the touchline, a coach never able to stand still and simply enjoy a game. Instructions always have to be given, players have to always be pushed harder, mistakes always have to be reprimanded.
At the Amex Stadium, though, Tuchel eased off. It only became clear as to why after the game when the Chelsea head coach faced the media after his side were held to yet another 1-1 draw.
