Thomas Tuchel has been told exactly what Armando Broja can add to Chelsea should he be given a chance in the first-team next season.
The striker has spent he 2021-22 campaign on loan with Southampton and has excited many Chelsea supporters, scoring six goals in 20 Premier League appearances.
Broja's future remains up in the air, however. With Romelu Lukaku very much the first-choice at Stamford Bridge, question marks remain over where the 20-year-old's future lies.
football.london understand that Arsenal are interested in a move for the Albanian, while Saints boss Ralph Hassenhutl has expressed an interest in extending his stay at St Mary's after his current loan expires.
"We will find the right conversation with the player, the agent and his club," Hassenhutl told a pre-match press conference back in January.
"We'll find out what they want, what Chelsea want. He likes it here, he enjoys it here. These are all reasons why he is developing.
"We must find the right decision for the boy, if it suits the club then that is even better."
Broja has made just one appearance for the Blues, but with fans comparing him to former striker Diego Costa there is every chance he will add plenty more to that tally in the future.
However, whether that will come imminently remains to be seen.
But ahead of the Saints' weekend clash with Everton, Toffees boss Frank Lampard has been talking up his former player and has told Thomas Tuchel exactly what he could bring to the team..
"I gave him his debut," Lampard told his pre-match press conference on Thursday.
"He's a very good lad, very talented young boy. He's fast, strong, has a real eye for a goal. He's a very good young player, so I'm very aware of his strengths."
