It reflects the incredibly high levels of performance Mason Mount has achieved, and only at the age of 23 that this season felt a little lower than his player of the season campaign in 2020/21.
With 20 goals and 21 assists since the start of last season, Mount is alongside Harry Kane for one of just two Englishmen playing for a Premier League side to achieve those influential numbers. His wider numbers from Tuesday night's Champions League classic against Real Madrid only paints a more impressive picture.
100 per cent tackles won, 100 per cent long ball accuracy, 82 per cent pass accuracy, with 63 touches, four chances created, and a goal and assist.
