Former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has rejected his first job offer since being sacked by the Premier League side.
Tuchel was dismissed in a surprise move last month, just hours after losing 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb, with the club's new owners at the time insisting "it is the right time to make this transition."
Graham Potter was soon brought in but has overseen just two games after a string of match postponements and the international break.
Tuchel issued a statement on his sacking soon after, describing his "devastation that my time at Chelsea has come to an end."
He added: "The pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever. I am honoured to have been a part of this club’s history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart."
Tuchel has been offered a quick return to management back in his homeland of Germany with Bayer Leverkusen, who has won just one of their opening eight games of the new Bundesliga season.
However, it is reportedly not an offer which interests Tuchel and Sport1 claims the German has ruled himself out of the running. Xabi Alonso, the former Liverpool midfielder, is now an option.
